MPC Saturday Seminar Series: Camera Dynamics

Location: High Output

Website: www.rule.com

Description: Join the MPC’s Saturday Seminar Series on April 26th for a special Camera Dynamics Workshop. This half-day event, from 1:00 to 5:00pm, will provide an in-depth look at camera movement with a highly-esteemed panel of DPs and Cinematographers in conjunction with High Output and Rule Boston Camera.

The panel will explore how camera movement can enhance a shot; furthering our understanding of character and plot development; building dramatic tension; transitioning between dissimilar emotions or geographies, and enabling our immersion into the scene before us. Technical and logistical aspects of camera motion will be discussed in addition to the artistic and aesthetic.

Experts from Rule Boston Camera, High Output and others will be on hand to demonstrate a variety of the latest and most popular gear, with plenty of time for hands-on engagement with equipment in the studio. RBC will bring the Freefly MoVI M10 and M5 Camera Stabilizer Systems, Kessler CineDrive Multi-Axis Motion Control System, Dana Dolly, Trost Slider, and more.

Admission is $40 for MPC members and $50 for Non-Members. Not a member? Visit the MPC website to join or renew your annual membership. Click here to register.
